“Going shopping for work clothes with Jody was an awesome experience. Before we went, I was apprehensive because I enjoy shopping and have my own style that I very much like. Yet, I wanted some new input and went in with an open mind. The experience began when Jody first came over to my house and had me try on all of the clothes I had been wearing to work. She made a list of the items I was missing and kept that with us while we shopped. I was willing to try on things I normally would not and Jody was great about not pushing me to purchase anything that I didn’t love. Yet, she was able to push me outside of my comfort zone and as a result I was able to learn a few key things: 1. I have been buying my clothes too big. She helped me to realize that I am not always the same size and need to be more open to focusing on fit and not size. 2. Tucking my shirts into my pants is a great idea! This ends up looking very clean, professional, and accentuates a small waist for curvy body types. 3. Understanding your own body shape can help guide the clothes you try on and buy.
